We send an open letter to the Slovak delegation on the UN Climate Conference 2011

On behalf of the Active Global School in Europe, People in Peril Association sent an open letter to the members of the Slovak delegation at the 17th Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

In an open letter we are appealing on the members of the delegation participating at the conference, which begins 28th November 2011 in Durban in South Africa to support the adoption of binding agreements, which will have an impact on the negative climate change process.

This is also the way how we contribute to the solving of the climate change, increasing awareness of the fellow citizens and encouraging the politicians to take the necessary steps to a change. We are trying to slow global warming and ensure sustainable environmental conditions around the world.

We sent an open letter in the framework of the project Active Global School 2: Together, responsibly and fairly.

Cycle of debates to raise awareness on education towards tolerance (2010)

From November 2010 to June 2011, a cycle of debates focused on topics of equality and non- discrimination takes place to gain support of the Slovak public for education towards tolerance and multiculturalism.

Volunteers´ Sending Programme (2010)

Within the framework of a new volunteers‘ sending programme administered by the Slovak NGDO Platform (PMVRO) from March 2010, we will train 2 volunteers for a three-month internship at the projects carried out by our association in Kenya and Georgia.

The aim of the new PMVRO programme is to support development of professional skills of young Slovaks who would like to work in the field of development cooperation in future. 

Seminar and discussion on the Middle East (2009)

Within the Restore trust, rebuild bridges campaign supported by Anna Lindh Foundation, we organized a seminar on the Future of Peace Process in Middle East which took place on September 14, 2009 in Bratislava.
